The oldest name
Rudra is older than most of what we call Shiva. In the Rigveda he is the howler, the roarer — the storm god whose arrows bring fever and whose mercy takes it away. The Shatarudriya of the Yajurveda addresses him with a hundred names, fierce and kind in the same breath. Only later does the tradition settle him into the meditating stillness we picture today. The stillness is real. But it was earned through storm.
The storm that clears the air
Anyone who has stood in Indian monsoon air knows what Rudra means: the pressure before the burst, the violence of the downpour, and then — cleaner air than money can buy. Rudra is not anger for its own sake. He is the storm that exists so the silence after it can exist. Destruction with a direction.
Why a hoodie
Some forms want to be worn heavy. Rudra went onto 350 GSM brushed fleece, oversized, hood up — the garment equivalent of weather. For the days you carry the storm and choose, deliberately, when it breaks.
