Adiyogi: The First Yogi

Before religion, a method

The yogic tradition remembers its own origin without temples in it: a figure in the high Himalaya, absorbed in stillness so complete that people gathered just to look at him. Adiyogi — the first yogi. When seven of those watchers refused to leave and prepared for eighty-four years, he turned south and transmitted to them the mechanics of consciousness itself. Those seven — the Saptarishis — carried yoga to every direction of the world.

What 'yoga' actually claims

Strip away the studio schedules and the word yoga makes one radical claim: the human system is a technology, and it can be worked on deliberately — union of the individual with the whole is an engineering problem, not a lottery. Adiyogi is honoured not as a god demanding worship but as the one who first mapped the machine. Guru Purnima still marks that first teaching.

The original transmission, worn

We put Adiyogi on 240 GSM cotton for the practitioners — the ones on the mat at 6 a.m., the ones who sit before the phone comes on. Not yoga as aesthetic. Yoga as the oldest open-source project on earth, and a tribute to its first author.
